After finishing top of her class in a goldsmithing apprenticeship in 2000, Jana went on to achieve a first class degree in Jewellery Design from the well-respected German “Zeichenakademie Hanau”. She was also one of the youngest people in Germany to be granted the title of Master Goldsmith, achieving the best results in her county for this discipline.
In 2003 Jana relocated to London, where she worked for world renowned fashion jewellery designer Lara Bohinc creating patterns and masters. Two years later Jana's desire to experience all sides of the industry led her to a goldsmithing position at one of Hatton Garden’s oldest and most respected fine jewellery companies, Finecraft & Approved Diamonds.
In 2006 she decided to set up her own company and two years later Jana was already shortlisted for “Young Designer of the Year” in the UK Jewellery Awards. Jana’s husband, Ross Cutting, joined the business in 2009 . Ross studied Jewellery & Silversmithing at London Guildhall and graduated in 2000. He subsequently worked as a freelance goldsmith for well known designers such as, Disa Allsopp and Stephen Einhorn and then in 2008 worked for two years at award winning fashion led jewellery retailer EC One. With his help and expertise in production techniques, Jana Reinhardt Jewellery has continued to go from strength to strength.
