frillybylily was founded in May 2006 when independent jewellery designer Lily started selling her designs in West London's Portobello Road market.
For 6 years she has been hand assembling one off items using reclaimed vintage bits and bobs. Sourcing these reclaimed items has defined the business, as it makes it much more challenging.
As demand has grown, the focus has been shifted to ethical manufacturing, and creating a capacity to be able to complete larger orders. She has spent some time considering whether to manufacture abroad or at home.
Her new collection is now being manufactured in North London using solid recycled brass.
The collection is inspired by vintage costume jewellery and sits well alongside her hand-assembled work as it tells an ongoing story and reflects Lily's love of vintage costume jewellery.
frillybylily jewellery has been sold online and in a few independent boutiques as well as Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie stores.
frillybylily has been featured on BBC radio, in Grazia, Cosmopolitan and The Independent amongst other publications.
