Alice Menter Jewellery

Alice Menter is a UK designer creating extraordinary and beautiful jewellery.

Alice Menter gained a first class BA Hons degree at Middlesex University in contemporary jewellery design.

Inspired by her time with the Yao Mien hill tribe in Northern Thailand, Alice explores the boundaries between jewellery, clothing and body adornment.

Her techniques initially investigated ways of joining metals without soldering. She now silver and gold plates everyday objects such as nuts, washers, zips and bolts, which she combines with suede, lycra and chain. Individual pieces follow the contours of the body, move fluidly, and come to life when worn.
