How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

Our style is classy and elegant. Women who purchase Amoir Camaira do so out of an aspirational dream to live up to the life we portrait in our brand identity. Our customers are generally women who live glamorous lifestyles, vacation in luxurious settings and require rich tones, fabrics and trims to set them off against these sophisticated backgrounds. If our customers don’t already live this life, they aspire to!

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

People always comment on the quality of our fabric and the light weight of our trims. They are amazed at how soft and delicate our designs are and how well fitting each garment is. It is a great testament to the company as we promote luxury and great craftsmanship.

What is your background?

My background is varied, but my underlining interest in product development and fashion has always stuck. I am an admirer of life, which is something that thankfully developed over time. I appreciate luxury, people and opportunities. I travel well and have a huge network of talented people (more...)

5 Mins With Vintage Jewellery Brands Lulu & Belle

Shop Lulu & Belle :

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

Lulu and Belle is a carefully curated collection of vintage costume jewellery from the jewellery design houses of the past century. Our taste is eclectic but we are drawn to beautifully crafted pieces and pieces that tell the story of their decade.  We are always drawn to special pieces we would love to wear ourselves. The collection we have at the moment has pieces of jewellery from across the 20th century but we have a particular fondness for the geometric Art Deco era pieces, the dramatic glamour of mid-century jewellery and the classic 1960s pieces that remain effortlessly wearable today.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

We do our best to source our vintage pieces in excellent condition and we’ve been amazed at some of the events and pop-up shops we’ve held, where people think the jewellery is new and don’t always realise that a piece can be up to 70 years old or in some cases even a hundred years old.  It’s amazing though when you see a piece of gorgeous vintage jewellery with a contemporary outfit and how it can completely change the look. A lot of people get really excited about that.

What is your background?

We are a husband and wife team and come from completely different backgrounds.  While I was studying for a journalism degree in my twenties, I had the wonderful luck of finding a part time job in one of Ireland’s best established antique and vintage costume jewellery shops. It was a very unique business and I had the opportunity to get hands on with gorgeous vintage jewellery and to learn about the styles and designers. I was completely hooked from the start and loved in (more...)

Shop Manja :

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

We make stunning designer jewellery in Sterling Silver set exclusively with natural gemstones. Our motto is simple, we believe a piece of jewellery is not just an accessory but a way of keeping memories alive. We strive to select the best gemstones that we can find and set them on impeccably finished jewellery, keeping in mind the perennial purpose of each piece of jewellery. Our style is quite classic and feminine, but each piece of jewellery as that small extra detail element that makes it different. A lot of our pieces are also very geometric and sculptural.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

At Manja, there is something for everyone, to the bold daring woman who will find our Anansi collection appealing to the more classic and elegant woman who would prefer a pendant from our Amore collection. We have mostly heard positive comments, ones which reflect our style and values. On a memorable occasion a client mentioned the Divotra necklace was her favourite, as she loves to fiddle with it and even mentioned feeling naked without it. While we were exhibited in Germany this year at Inhorgenta, the same Divotra design was chosen among many and gave us a nomination for the best New Designer of the Year award. (more...)
