Shop Joanna Allsop :

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

My scarves are best described as pieces of wearable art. I mix detailed watercolour paintings with digital processes to create unusual and original designs. With my inspiration deeply rooted with nature, you are likely to find all types of animals taking centre stage in the scarves.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

I am usually told how beautiful the paintings are that feature in the scarves. People seem to really admire the work that goes into each scarf, and love being able to wear artwork in a contemporary and fashionable way. People love to see something so different to that on the high street.

What is your background?

I have a degree in Fashion and Textiles design, specialising in Print. My first scarf collection was actually my graduate collection at university. After receiving such incredible feedback, I released the label 4 months after graduation. (more...)

Shop Faye Marie Jewellery :

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

Faye Marie is a luxury fashion jewellery brand with its focus on creating luxury, fashion conscious adornments with a narrative. I make all of the jewellery myself in my studio near Hatton Garden, the Faye Marie style is bold and modern with an emphasis on high quality.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

The response I usually get from clients is that my jewellery is distinctive and well made. I’m a bit of a magpie I love shiny things, so I am very conscious about getting the perfect finish on my pieces.

What is your background?

I was brought up in Shropshire and moved to London at 18 where I studied Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins. I since went on to develop my bench skills interning for edgy jewellery brand Dominic Jones and global luxury brand Shaun Leane. I started the Faye Marie brand at the start of 2013 and couldn’t be happier. (more...)
