How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

I see myself as a servant of fashion who always reverts back to the female’s form as my inspiration.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

Great attention to detail.

What is your background?

I graduated in womenswear from Central St. Martins and worked with several labels in Saville Row. I have designed for my own fashion label since 2008.

Which designers do you rate highly and why?

Yves Saint Laurent for his sensitivity towards women. Coco Chanel because she thinks like a man and dresses like a woman. Azzedine Alaïa because I love the fact that he’s made women look sexually powerful.

Tell us about your design process from concept, production and to the shelves…

When I begin a collection, it’s based on how I feel which I try to translate into the garments. I start with a photograph of inspiration, such as a painting or era, and pick out the details that interest me. The garments then evolve over production, and consult with stockists that fit the style of the brand. (more...)

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

I was born on the 8th of January in 1986.

I am  London - based fashion designer with a label in his own name. From the early childhood I was interested in fashion.

I was constantly sketching and looking through magazines on the latest international trends.

Passion has become a way of life.

My earliest fashion influences were black and white movies from 1940s and 1950s with great actresses: Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly.

With a twist of creative energy I like to experiment with the fabrics and mix different materials.

My favourite’s fabrics are: satin, chiffon, taffeta, velvet and wool.

Each creation comes individually, so it's hard to find in mine designs clothes that are repetitive in terms of fashion.

5 Mins With New Accessories Designer to Family: Peach Pink London

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

We design beautiful leather bags and purses for the modern woman. We like to include multi functional details that mean that woman can use the bags in different ways to fit into their busy lifestyles. Our style is understated with subtle branding- we chose the Peach blossom Moth as an indigenous Moth of the British Isles and emboss this on removable luggage tags and on the lining of the bags.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

Our customers appreciate the soft leathers that we use, the colours that we choose and the practical details e.g. mobile phone and tablet pockets that we include in our designs. They like the subtle Moth branding that sets us apart from other more obviously branded collections.

What is your background?

We are both ex Buyers from High street retailers. Helen has always had a passion for design and product development and Vanessa focuses on quality and the marketing of our brand to both wholesale customers and end consumers. (more...)
