Guest Blogger Kate Heslop Tells Us What's On Her Christmas Wishlist

Tuesday, November 27th, 2012

As a kid the run-up to Christmas was always half the fun of the festive season; intricately leafing through toy catalogues and writing long letters to Santa Claus. I can almost picture my mum’s face as I handed over the three-page wish-list, assuring her I’d been the best and most well behaved girl that year. Well, some things never change. Whether it’s those leather boots I’ve been dying for or that vintage record player I’ve been lusting after since the beginning of 2012, my wish-list always becomes a ‘dream-on’ list or a ‘maybe-when-I’m-rich’ list. But what if money was no option? What would I ask for? Well after scrolling through pages and pages of beautiful shoes and absolutely must-have dresses, I’ve compiled my top-ten Christmas present list. So, Father Christmas, are you reading?

cheet-london-sugar-frame-calf-leather-doctors-bagI need this beautiful handbag by Cheet London in my life. This was meant to be a hypothetical wish-list but has actually turned into a excuse for planning my pay cheque treats. The soft dove grey in the sumptuous buttery leather is to die for. The vintage doctor’s bag style makes this a stand-out bag from all those littering the high-street. Definitely a unique purchase to avoid the backpack and satchel trends; it’s one for the individual girls looking for something pretty and something new. And did I mention it’s half price? (more...)

Stunning Lingerie Brand Beaujais Talks To

Monday, November 19th, 2012

We're so pleased to welcome gorgeous lingerie brand Beaujais to All of Beaujais beautiful lingerie is lovingly designed & handmade to order in England, ensuring the lingerie is unbeatable quality, making it a thoroughly British brand. Founded by Alice Warner in 2011, Beaujais creates both bespoke lingerie and fashion-forward seasonal ranges, ideal for all your lingerie needs! We chat to Alice now about her super-seductive and incredibly beautiful lingerie....

How do you describe to people what you do and your design style?

Beaujais provides beautiful, glamorous but understated lingerie, in larger cup sizes. It is all about giving women confidence in their curves – providing pieces that not only support and provide a great fit, but that make them feel great about themselves.

What sort of comments do you get about your designs?

Women love the quality and men love the look of the pieces on their partners! I think it’s great that people are increasingly aware of where their pieces come from, and we get a lot of comments about how pleased they are to find lingerie that is designed and made in the UK.  From a design perspective, Beaujais is so much more glamorous and luxurious than many other fuller bust brands out there, so customers often express how happy they are to have found us.

What is your background?

I have a design background, having gained a First Class degree in Fashion Design, and worked in the lingerie design industry, both at a mass-market and high-end level. A stint at Alexander McQueen, as well as roles in PR and sales, all helped to give me the experience needed to create Beaujais.

Which designers do you rate highly and why?

Alexander McQueen (and now Sarah Burton at McQueen), for the exquisite cut, tailoring and craftsmanship that go into each piece. The vision and attention to detail is amazing. Also Sophia Kokosalaki, for her incredibly feminine Grecian inspired pieces, with a London edge, that combine fashion-forward and classic in a completely wearable way. (more...)
