May 18th, 2012Guest Blogger Catherine Morgan Picks Out Her Favourite Humble Handbags!
May 17th, 2012Take it out, hug it, cuddle it; you can do whatever you want with the humble handbag… they’re pretty special and we’d be lost without them!
Other than diamonds, bags are most definitely a girl’s best friend. We find it is impossible to leave the house without the right bag (and of course it has to match with what you’re wearing too) and you don’t care if the house is a mess, or the fact you’ve been rummaging around at least 20 minutes to find the right style of bag. No, it has to be just right.
Bags must also suit your mood too or where you plan to go that day. I love a good spacious handbag as I cannot be dealing with a miniature bag that is about the size of my hand. They might be pretty yes, but for practical daily use; small bags are a big no-no. That’s why I’ve picked these three bags as for one they are good to use day in day out and two; they’re stylish and full of sophistication. Go wild!
The Spacious (yet pretty) Bag
This ‘Classic Italian’ bag just oozes vibrancy and class. The design itself is unique and the material is luxurious leather. The 50s feel about the bag compliments the era nicely and shows a great style statement. If you’re adventurous and like to try new things with your style, this is a great bag to showcase this. The strap itself can be worn over the arm or shoulder, so not only is it beautiful leather but its practical for a busy day ahead too. For upcoming trends, this type of bag is great to show off all summer. It looks and will feel great, why not make a new statement today?

The Great Gatsby Trend: Key Pieces For The Ultimate ‘20’s Look
May 14th, 2012‘I hope she’ll be a fool—that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.’ So says Daisy Buchannan, soon to be played by Carey Mulligan in Baz Lurhman’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby later this year. Alongside such cynical pearls of wisdom, this film is responsible for one of the prevailing catwalk trends of the season: 1920’s decadence. And one thing’s for sure, you would be a fool not to look a million dollars channelling it! Wrapped up in the frills and sequins of the Jazz Age, it’s all about opulence and glamour. Think Atonement and Kiera Knightly in that green dress and you have an idea of the effortless lines and sophisticated beauty we’re going for. So here’s a few of our favourite pieces from IndependentBoutique.com which should get cocktail glasses tipping your way… Read More…..
